About

Auralee Wallace is the author of multiple novels, including the Otter Lake mystery series and the Evenfall Witches B&B Mysteries. She has an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in English literature, and she worked in the publishing industry for a number of years before teaching at the college level.

When this perpetually sleep-deprived mother of three children and one rescue cat isn’t writing, reading, or playing soccer, she can be found watching BBC mysteries and warring with a family of peregrine falcons for the rights to her backyard.

Auralee’s Favorite Things

Tea
All types of tea. Lemon Ginger is a particular favorite, but if she had to choose just one, it would be Earl Grey.

Cats
Big surprise there for a cozy mystery author. After sharing her heart and home with countless rescue felines, Auralee hopes one day to be the proud caretaker of a black Smoke Maine Coon cat—just like Faustus in the Evenfall series.

Soccer
Even though Auralee is far past her Best Before date when it comes to contact sports, she still clings to the notion that she can compete with women half her age. Thankfully her teammates are used to her delusions of grandeur and complaints about bad hips.

BBC mysteries
Does this one really need an explanation?

Fairy Tales
As soon as Auralee could read—which was age 2 if the stories of her overly proud mother are to be believed—she devoured books of fairy tales. Her parents would often find her asleep with the bedside light on, book still on her chest, most likely dreaming of cottages in forests, bargains gone wrong, talking animals, and witches. Especially witches.
